How It All Started
Only Earthy was started when I, Nikhil Rachamalla, realized that there was no truly sustainable substitute for plastic disposable glasses. The only commonly available alternative was paper, which ultimately contributes to deforestation and still impacts the environment.
We believed there had to be a better solution.
Despite the higher cost of sustainable materials, we decided to build a product that is genuinely better for the planet. Our compostable glasses are made from plant-based resources like corn starch and vegetable waste, designed to return safely to the earth instead of polluting it.
Our goal is simple — start with a premium sustainable alternative, gradually increase production volume, and eventually make eco-friendly disposable glasses accessible to the mass market.

The Only Earthy Lifecycle
From farm waste to nutrient-rich soil. A perfect loop.
1. Farm Waste Collected
Corn starch and vegetable waste are sourced from farms, utilizing materials that would otherwise go unused.
2. Converted to Bioplastic
The raw material is cleaned and processed into a high-quality, food-safe resin (PLA) at our facility.
3. Molded into 400ml Glasses
The resin is molded into our sturdy 400ml glasses, printed with colour identifiers, and quality-checked.
4. Used at Your Event
Perfect for cold drinks. Built-in colour markers mean guests use just one cup all night, reducing overall waste.
5. Composted After Use
Simply place the used cups in an organic waste bin or your home compost pit.
6. Returns to Earth
Micro-organisms break the cup down in approximately 180 days. It becomes soil. The cycle is complete.
